Boston: Come Build a Hubot (Boston Infrastructure Coders)

September 22nd –
Meetup Logo

Hubots are those helpful little chat bots that help you post cat pictures or give constant updates about your repos. Ever wonder how they work or how to build one?

In September, Yieldbot is co-sponsoring a Boston Infrastructure Coders Meetup to teach coders of any skill level how to write and deploy their own Hubot. Members of the Yieldbot Boston team will demonstrate how to setup a hubot in a free Slack channel using Heroku’s free tier and then use basic Javascript to showcase functionality. Afterward, the code and slides will be made available to attendees so you can build and break as you please.

There will also be plenty of time to talk about ChatOps in general or any other infrastructure coding topics such as Configuration Management, Source Control, and Monitoring. To get more information or register for the event, click here, or on the button below.

What are Hubots? Come find out, write one, and make your lives easier.
