Location: NYC

Our Senior Product Designer will help lead all things design at Yieldbot. She or he will be expected to not only evolve and establish Yieldbot’s aesthetic, but also roll up her or his sleeves and produce designs for everything from large-scale digital products to marketing and sales collateral.

**Candidates must submit an online portfolio of recent work.**

Responsibilities

  • Designing mockups for data and analytics interfaces (with a focus on UI/UX), creative units and applications for content and advertising
  • Producing sales and marketing materials (slide decks, one sheeters, etc.)
  • Communicating clear, compelling designs both visually and verbally: talking through ideas and motivations, sketching out mockups and documenting specifications
  • Understanding design needs inter-departmentally and collaborating across disciplines. You will be working with developers and the product team as well as with business leads
  • Balancing user needs with Yieldbot’s larger business strategy
  • Elegantly switching between high-level concepting to pixel-perfect designwork
  • Owning Yieldbot’s visual branding strategy and aesthetic, and establishing specific style guidelines
  • Setting deadlines around designs while thriving in a startup environment with iterative releases and ever-changing priorities
  • Leading and growing our (for now) small but powerful design team

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a creative role (2+ years in creative leadership role)
  • Strong leadership, product ownership and management skills
  • Proven ability to turn complex product design issues into clean, intuitive solutions
  • Experience with UX and information architecture
  • Solid knowledge of current innovations and best practices in UI design
  • Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch (or your other preferred tooling) and the drive to learn new techniques
  • Expertise working and building designs with code — HTML/CSS required, Javascript (JQuery) and HTML5 Canvas a huge plus!
  • An online portfolio of recent work
