Data Wrangler

  • What You’ll be Doing
    • Building our batch and realtime analytics over huge datasets
    • Applying machine learing algorithms to spin big data straw into smart data gold
    • Working on the bleeding edge of big data: Cascalog, Storm
  • What (we hope) You’ve Done
    • Algorithm work around large datasets, especially involving NLP
    • Wrestled with Hadoop, and won
    • Worked in multiple languages (Clojure is big here)

Platform Software Engineer

  • What You’ll be Doing
    • Building our world-wide distributed, fault tolerant, realtime event processing platform
    • Working with cutting edge systems and db technology: elephantdb, mongodb, redis, Storm, Chef
    • Expert work in the language that best fits the situation (we use Python, Clojure, Ruby, Javascript, and Java)
  • What (we hope) You’ve Done
    • Developed scalable web solutions
    • Solved complex problems in distributed systems
    • Significant work with dynamic languages like Python or Ruby
