Platform Software Engineer – Configuration Entity Modeler

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement flexible entity models representing advertiser, publisher and platform configuration
  • Understand the design trade-offs of various entity model designs and strive to provide the best design solution for the given set of use cases
  • Implement and test simple (field-level) and complex (cross-field) validation for entity models, and continue to refine and evolve the data validation framework
  • Design flexible solutions that can be iterated on rapidly
  • Work closely with business stakeholders and with the rest of the engineering team to clearly understand and communicate requirements

What You Bring

  • Exceptional programming skills
  • Experience working in a heterogeneous database environment, and using document-oriented, key-value and other types of NoSQL databases in particular
  • Extraordinary communication skills
  • Ability to balance an obsessive desire to solve problems elegantly with the need to deliver results quickly and iterate later
  • Comfortable working in a distributed team

What Else We’d be Psyched About

  • Experience working with ElasticSearch
  • Experience building server-side JavaScript applications, especially with Node.js
  • Experience developing in Python
