He has worked optimizing performance for over 60 companies in digital media including Amazon.com, AutoNation, Disney, Citibank, H&R; Block, IBM, Intuit, Microsoft, Salesforce, Sears, Skype and T-Mobile. Prior to Yieldbot, Rich spent 15 years working in startups and leading teams that created powerful products. Most recently at BlueNote Networks (acquired 2008 by Aspect Software) as Software Architect, building enterprise distributed voice-over-IP systems with web service business process integration. Prior to that as Software Architect at WaveSmith Networks (acquired 2003 by CIENA) where the team built industry-leading carrier-class ATM, Frame-Relay, MPLS switches (the architecture of which is still used as the basis for CIENA next generation systems). And it all started with New Oak (acquired 1998 by Bay/Nortel) where Rich helped define the architecture and implement the industry first dedicated enterprise edge VPN device.
Soren is Chief Data Hacker (nee Scientist) at Yieldbot. Prior to taking on the task of building the brains of the Yieldbot, Soren Co-Founded StockTwits, the largest real-time financial idea network. Prior to being bitten by the startup bug, Soren worked as an information security engineer and analyst for Fortune 500 companies such as Apple Computer, Symantec Corporation, and Safeway where he specialized in reverse engineering, threat modeling and penetration testing of networked computer systems and applications.
